I have been on the force for 12 years now. I would NEVER write a brother officer or family member... Things have changed SO much over the years, and it has become a disgrace to our profession. This site is an incredible idea...it's about time the "dicks" are held accountable!

I know there are a very small number of rats in every PD that like to rat on their brothers, as well as write them for petty stuff. How anout a page for those a$$holes?

I think there are two sides to this discussion. If the cop I stop is respectful to me during the stop, I ALWAYS let them go with a handshake and a "be careful". But if the fellow brother is rude and pissed off because he was stopped, then a ticket is the only appropriate corrective action. Why would any police officer be rude to another who is doing the same job?

I have the dubious ''pleasure'' of working with a highway cop, po dave weinerman of suffolk county pd ny,that wrote sgt curtin of nypd's e/s unit who died in wtc. He never even gave her the chance to show her survivor of the shield badge, its utterly embarassing that this happened, the women in question is in her 40s and is a sweetheart, the officer operates by the ''if i dont see it, I didnt write against it ''creed, well it backfired, I am grateful to the scpd pba who took care of this extremely disgusting situation.

I've been a CHP officer for five years now and I can tell you right now, it's all about the attitude. If I stopped a fellow cop for speeding, it's up to him or her to get the ticket.
If the cop shows me attitude, I'll write him or her a ticket. If the cop shows remorse, then I'll prob let him or her go. It's all about attitude baby.

Two years ago, I stopped a Sheriff Deputy for speeding his newly brought Corvette. I asked him what was the reason and he said "I was just testing out the speed on this thing". I let him go because he was showing remorse and he had a nice attitude.
Doesn't matter who you are, you speed on purpose just for fun/your own benefit, you will get a ticket from me. And it doesn't help to show bad attitude. |

Even with a good attitude I still right cops and I will continue to do so. If you don't like it, make 10 more sites and cry about it all you want on them!
The thing is "joe citizen" has many hardships too, (whether or not he is employed in law enforcement or has family that is). I write joe citizen and guess what? When your off, your joe citizen to me too! Now I realize most of you are dirty "officers" and love to use your badges and dept. IDs for personal gain, but DONT think that I care when you say things like "Oh who is going to help you when your getting your a$$ kicked.. ?" Who will help me? Other VSP, sheriffs etc. that I can count on to see past childish personal grudges and DO THE JOB. Don't bother having a good attitude, just adjust your driving habits accordingly so that they are not in violation of the law.

You should be grateful that cops don't think like you do...especially that dark night when you're alone and some savage is kicking your ass from one side of the highway to another. You might write me as I pass through your state some day...but I would still stop and help your sorry ass if it was getting kicked.

You have to be kidding. I write a LOT. Never Never would I ever even think of writting anyone on the job. There are too many other assholes out there than to need to write your own. NYPD has written my family 3 times in the past year.....seatbelts....... way to go HWY3
